Davis selected to USA volleyball summer training series

Fort Worth, TX - Nolan Catholic High School freshman volleyball player, Suli Davis has been selected to participate with USA volleyball this upcoming summer. Davis was one of 35 girls selected from throughout the country for the under 15 squad. She will join other members of the team July18-23 in Anaheim, California to compete for a spot to represent USA volleyball in sanctioned events.

NCHS volleyball coach, Rosalyn Thorpe, feels the honor is well deserved for Davis.

“From the moment I stepped foot on campus, I knew Suli had the potential to become one of the best players in the country,” Thorpe said. “She has been blessed with some things other girls do not have. She never stops competing during a match and always wants the ball. Her teammates love being around her and she wants nothing more than for them to perform well too. This is a huge honor for Suli, one she has earned. No stage is bigger than USA volleyball and I know she will be ready come July.”

Davis and her teammates are off to a fast start this season. The Vikings, winners of three matches in a row, before falling last night on the road to L.D. Bell HS, will be back in action this weekend competing in the POPCS Tournament.
