Fort Worth, TX - With the opportunity to win another district championship, this time on the road at rival All Saints, LVS seized the moment with a 6-0 victory. The victory secured the fourth consecutive district title for LVS. LVS will be the number one seed in the upcoming TAPPS playoffs.
Led by two goals from Izzy Van Zanten as well as three assists, LVS jumped on the home team early and often on their way to an easy win.
Sierra Padilla added a goal and two assists, while Avery Pick and Lilly Martinez also each contributed a goal.
The victory improves LVS to 16-6-1 while remaining undefeated in district play.
“The girls have done what is needed to this point to win another district title. We also have bigger goals, but this is always an important box to check off. I am excited to continue to improve and hit our stride as playoffs begin,” head coach Jay Fitzgerald said.
LVS will return to the pitch Tuesday night at Midlothian Heritage in a non-district matchup.
